I think it's +10 or +20 but I almost never use it so haven't observed enough data to figure it out.

Though it does make it so someone can't heal up the damage with a full shield recharge alone.įor Wingman, I'm not sure.

It also makes part of the damage directly impact health, but because it doesn't seem to be more than 50% I believe that still doesn't accelerate TTK. It only really accelerates TTK against blue helmets or blue armor. So TTK is generally not accelerated against someone with a purple helmet and purple armor compared to the usual 82 damage against a purple helmet without a skullpiercer, unless they've already been chipped. I'm guessing it's done this way because a double bitflip is the fastest way to floor or otherwise truncate a number, so flooring numbers is commonly done in games instead of rounding or ceiling, even though it doesn't make sense for helmets to actually be more effective than stated. Since helmets are 20%, 40%, and 50% damage reduction respectively to headshots, that's:ĥ5+(55+28)*0.6 = 104 vs blue helmet (not sure if blue is actually 40%, considering the white helmet being 30% was wrong.)ĥ5+(55+28)*0.5 = 96 vs purple/gold helmet Thus you have 55 base damage, plus 55+28 to the head which is then reduced by helmet, for 138 damage total on headshots. I couldn't find actual stats for the what the DMR does anywhere, so I figured it out myself.Īt least for DMR, the Skullpiercer HOP increases headshot damage by +28.
